🏛️ A powerful piece of Camden’s Revolutionary War history is coming home.

On May 18, the City of Camden, in partnership with the South Carolina American Revolution Trust, will formally receive the loan of artist Pamela Patrick White’s striking 2008 painting depicting the Battle of Hobkirk’s Hill.

The ceremony at the Revolutionary War Visitor Center will also include a ribbon cutting for the new Battle of Hobkirk’s Hill interpretation site.

The painting captures the desperate efforts of Continental soldiers during one of the most significant turning points in the Southern Campaign of the American Revolution and will be displayed for public viewing in the Public House at the Visitor Center.
