From the flat file: Alekos Fassianos
A selection of works by Alekos Fassianos is now available to view from our flat file. One of Greece’s most celebrated painters, Fassianos built a lifelong visual language from Greek mythology, Byzantine icons, and everyday Athenian life — flattened silhouettes rendered in his signature palette of blue, ochre, and terracotta. Trained in Athens and later in Paris, he spent over six decades painting, printmaking, and designing for the stage, becoming one of the most instantly recognizable voices in modern Greek art.
