Historic Camden Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to protect, preserve, and celebrate Camden's extraordinary Colonial and Revolutionary War history. Our 100 acre Broad Street campus sits atop the original Colonia

l town of Camden and the town's founder, Joseph Kershaw's, property. His original house and land were occupied and fortified by British General Lord Cornwallis and Lord Rawdon from 1780-81. Currently, we offer both self-guided and guided tours, granting visitors access to multiple historic buildings on our campus, including the Kershaw-Cornwallis House. Visitors can also browse our gift shops, located in the Cunningham House and the Camden Rev War Visitor Center. We also offer special programs and events, such as Make & Take, Living History Open House, school tours, Tavern Dinner, Lafayette Weekend, Battle of Camden Commemoration and a host of others. For more info please check out our website at historiccamden.org.

The Kershaw House sparkled as a fireworks display wrapped up our Evacuation Day celebration! Historic Camden would like to extend a very special thank you to the City of Camden, our local leaders, and our amazing Camden Police and Fire Department for all their guidance and assistance in making this incredible event possible.
We are grateful to our wonderful sponsors, guests, staff, volunteers and all those who helped make this such a special experience!
