We had an excellent visit last week from the volunteers from the Flight of Five and Lockport Visitor's Center! And they brought a valuable gift: beams from the Flight of Five locks we will be able to display! They enjoyed a boat ride, a demo of our watered lock demonstration, a tour, a discussion about recruiting and maintaining volunteers and then they treated us to lunch! We loved having them and they will reciprocate with a special tour for our volunteers later in the Summer.

Covey, our pet mascot & weatherduck, says it looks like the rain will stop & it will be a nice afternoon for a boat ride! And even if it doesn't completely stop the boat is covered & every day is a good day for a boat ride! Rides at 1, 2 & 3! Some of our volunteers had a great time this morning with the young ladies of Girl Scout Troop 60030 decorating our float for the Camillus Memorial Day Parade! The troop holds their meetings at Sims Store & members have done many wonderful projects in the Park over the years, from working on a garden to putting together infomation for visitors on native plants in our nature trail. We are lucky to have them! And look for us in the Memorial Day Parade Monday!
