Hello Friends!!
I have been busy this Autumn,as I have for many years, creating the wee Woodland Twig Elves that have captured my heart and many, many of yours. In the past I have been gearing up to show at the Christmas at the Castle but this year I will not be showing the Elves at the Castle. Instead I am taking a slower paced break and will be at the Campton CES/PTO Artisan Fair on December 9 from 9AM to 4PM at the Campton Elementary School, Route 175 in Campton. For those of you who have visited my gallery the school is right across the street!!
I hope you will all consider attending the fair as it has proven to be a wonderful event with lots of excellent and varied artists and craftsmen. If you can’t make it please remember that the Red Barn Studio and Gallery open Thursday thru Saturday 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM or by appointment. Hope to see you Saturday the 9th!!!

Hello friends! I am happy to say that I have been very busy with watercolors this spring/summer! True to nature I did do a couple of winter scenes, the back yard with lots of shadows along our walking path and a scene of David’s woodpile. I enjoyed doing some barns which I haven’t touched for a while and some florals… a little bit of this and that . The paintings of grasses at the high tide mark were done of the Wellfleet Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary in Wellfleet MA. It seems I find the grasses and flotsam and jetsam of the beach more compelling than the water. Best to leave that to the artists who do it so well! Enjoy.

Hello Friends! There is still a bit of snow out in the backyard but the front and gallery entrance is ALL CLEAR! Hurray! Let’s just hope that April showers bring May flowers not more snow! The gallery is now open for 2023 and I am looking forward to seeing all my friends in the weeks to come and if your are passing through on your way to the North Country stop in and say hello! My new hours are 11- 4:30 Thurs, Fri and Sat or call for an appointment if those hours don’t work for you!

Hello friends! I have been working joyfully all Autumn to prepare for the annual Christmas at the Castle at the Castle in the Clouds in Moultonboro, NH. The artisan Fair will be November 19 and 20th and 25, 26 and 27th. This year you do NOT have to purchase a ticket unless you want to tour the castle as well as attend the fair. (there is no Covid protocol keeping the numbers in check.) Hope to see many of you there!!

As the Autumn season moves into full swing ( I cleared off the deck of fallen leaves earlier and stuck my head outside an hour later and the leaves are falling like rain and sounding like popcorn hitting the deck!) and I am in full swing creating Woodland Twig Elves! Of course, I am getting ready for Christmas at the Castle again this year! I hope you will all mark your calendars for the weekend before and weekend after Thanksgiving. I have not heard whether there is any Covid protocol this year but best to check their website as last year was definitely an unusually sparse turnout. Here are some of my little elves ready and excited to travel from their customary surroundings! Hope you are all enjoying Autumn!

It’s been a long and rather dreary winter and much too cold overall. But we all are feeling that for certain. At any rate the gallery is finally open!! The hard pack snow in front of the gallery door is all melted and I can trot the sign out without fear of a mishap! Though I didn’t accomplish a whole lot the last three months I have not been a total sluggard! Getting back to some basics and drawing, drawing , drawing. Here are some results. A few may make it into paintings soon. Hope to see some of you soon! Please stop in and say hello!

Hello Friends and a Happy New Year!

As is my annual ritual I will be taking time in January and February to just relax, read, paint and essentially recover from a very busy Autumn. It is fortunate that I can take this time to refocus and consider what I would like to accomplish for the new year. I ended the summer doing watercolors and at that time thought I would experiment with some new ideas. Alas, September came and I was creating Elves up until the November Artisan Fair. This all went as planned and was quite successful. Now I am ready to resume painting. Sooo..... the gallery will be open by appointment only. Feel free to give a call anytime, any day. I will be here!

Many thank you’s to all my gallery buddies who stop in frequently and keep my inventory flowing. I truly appreciate the connections you continually make to my creations, both paintings and Elves. It brings me great joy that I am still making you all smile!
