Art Shows
Many art shows are hosted throughout the year. Artists from North Dakota and beyond display their work in addition to area students. Literature
North Dakota authors present programs for the school and the public. Music
Music comes to town with the Children’s Musical and Christmas concerts. Drama
Plays are presented on the Audi stage by local adults as well as students. Traveling troupes present plays for the children. Cando Tours
Local creative individuals share their lovely gardens and beautiful homes. Experience Cando beauty and creativity at its best! Practical Arts
Skills are taught to enhance life, such as bread baking, gardening, decorating and other crafts that people are interested in learning or sharing. Art Classes
Classes are provided for area individuals including painting, drawing, silk-screening, photography, and quilting. Youth
Research has demonstrated that education in the arts improves students’ overall academic success. Fostering creativity and providing exposure to the arts for our community's youth is a big part of the Cando Arts Council’s mission. Many opportunities are provided for children throughout the year. They include Speech Recital, Summer Children's Musical, and Summer Art Camp. We are located in the lower level of the Audi Theater
