Canfield Model Railroaders of the War Vet Museum

Canfield Model Railroaders of the War Vet Museum The War Vet Museum model railroad display has well over 300 train cars and engines that were donated by veterans who enjoyed the hobby of model railroading.

The vast train display is located in the basement of the Canfield War Vet Museum. Located in the basement of the Canfield War Vet Museum, founded by Lew Speece, president of the Canfield American Legion, in 1988. The museum has over 40,000 items, donated by war veterans and their families. The Canfield Model Railroaders non-profit group is headed by founder Jack Whitehouse and is located in the b

asement of the museum. Jack and his group of "railroaders", young people that volunteer their time to create and preserve this amazing model train display. Relying solely on donations, both monetary and previously owned model train items, the group continues to work on expanding the museum. Truly a treat for all ages to see, every Saturday from 10 till 2 p.m. ADMISSION IS FREE! The Train Museum donations received are separate from those received at the entrance of the museum upstairs. We welcome any monetary donations, as well as donations of supplies like, glue, model kits, lighting, display cases, tools and of course trains! HAVE AN OLD TRAIN IN THE ATTIC? WE WOULD LOVE IT!
