SOLO Art Space was an art gallery in Canon City, Colorado, from December 2017 through October 2018.

There were lots of friendly faces and good conversations at SOLO last night for September's First Friday show.
The works of Le Rinehart and Mary Cotner will be hanging side by side for the month of September.

SOLO is open on Friday & Saturday, from 11 - 2,
or by appointment.

Drs. Eric & Linda Carlson's collection will be hanging at SOLO Art Space for the month of August. This is a unique chance to view and purchase the works of many local artists that have been created over the last three decades.

SOLO Art Space is located at 115 N. 5th, in Canon City, CO (across from the library).

Gallery hours are Friday & Saturday, from 11 am to 2 pm, or by appointment.

SOLO had a wonderful turn out for Drs Eric & Linda Carlson's collection on First Friday. The food was excellent (as usual) and two beautiful paintings were purchased and will be moving to new homes when the show is over.

For the month of August, SOLO Art Space will be featuring the collection of Drs. Eric and Linda Carson.

About the Collection

Dedicated to the arts especially in Fremont County and the Arkansas River Valley, Drs. Eric and Linda Carlson have aquired a rare collection of exemplary regional art over three decades.
The works have been exhibited throughout the Arkansas Valley Surgery Center, Dr. Eric Carlson's long cherished goal of providing quality medical care and access in a local surgical facility. Dr. Carlson retired in 2016 leaving The Center, and gathered over 200 works of art into storage.
Now the Carlsons would like to find good homes for these works of art. The Collection will be on display at SOLO Art Space during August 2018.

Opening night (First Friday) is 5-8 pm on August 3.

The exhibition and sale will be on view from August 3 - August 25, 2018.

SOLO Art Space presents Alex Arpin’s show “A Proposition for Improper Propagation”,
Located at 115 North 5th Street, Canon City CO, visit us for Opening Night for the First Friday Art Walk APRIL 6TH 2018, 5-8PM.

“A Proposition for Improper Propagation” is a collection of Alex Arpin’s recent sculptural work, and includes an installation piece in the Vault titled “Habitual”. His pieces reminisce of a distant dystopian future of repurposed machines, well used, then sent back in time. Using components of the broadcast and wireless industry and other unique found objects, he mixes woodworking and other traditional mediums and manipulates these objects to suit the piece. His work demands space for each piece to consume and dominate, yet having the works placed together in one space provides a story that is collectively powerful.

Alex Arpin is a fine artist, designer, and entrepreneur based in Colorado. His work has recently shown at Sangre De Cristo Art Center, Fremont County Center for the Arts, CORE New Art Space, and SOLO Art Space.

“A Proposition for Improper Propagation” will be showing at SOLO through the month of April.
