Fifth grade students from Canyonville School got to learn about local history at the Pioneer and Indian Museum thanks to some of our great volunteers! We appreciate the students’ interest and participation. In addition to the regular displays they saw our single cylinder engines run and got to shell and grind corn.

We got the primer coat painted in the new storage building today! Board members Matthew, Connie, Karen, Susie and caretaker Mike pitched in and really brightened up the interior. Once the final coat of paint dries, we’ll begin transferring some of the larger stored display items from our lower building to utilize that space for meetings and educational activities.

Something new and exciting is going up at the Museum! Our new storage building is progressing quickly thanks to the crew at Gosselin Construction. This will free up room in the original buildings to hold meetings and other activities for the public.

Join us this Sunday for our Annual Membership Meeting at the Museum. Potluck dinner starts at 1:00pm, with lamb roast provided. Bring a side, salad or dessert. Business meeting starts at 2:00pm.

Our Annual Membership Meeting will be November 17 @ 2:00PM in the Pickett Building, with a potluck meal before at @ 1:00PM. We hope you can join us!!
