SIAM is taking a break from its normal meeting schedule in 2024. Attendance was not good in 2023, indicating that the organization is not meeting the needs of the Southern Illinois museum community. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Several of the concerns expressed in the recent survey could be answered with a little more research. A wonderful source is the National Park Service Conserve O Grams.

If you type in this address you will find a long list of short articles which the park service has prepared for their museums. Scroll down to find the one you want.

Many of these will be addressed on more than one Conserve O Gram. I found what I was wanting under the Salvage Section.
