Northern California Arts (NCA) had a great January general meeting, with master acrylic painter Dave Manousos as the presenter. His modern portrait art is very similar to some Paul Klee paintings.

We enjoyed his more casual approach to the canvas— as a sketch pad. Many of his paintings have up to seven paintings underneath. When he doesn’t like something he uses paint and gesso to start fresh.

We watched how he scraped paint and moved it with water.

Lots of places to see Dave’s art but right now he has two pieces in Second Chances at Sac Fine Arts.
