We are officially just over 2 weeks away from the Heritage Fest 10K/5K & Walk, and we are getting excited!

This year, with the addition of the 10K, we’ve seen a lot of added excitement and interest in the event. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to West Dundee for race day!

📦 Packet Pick-Up
To help make race morning as easy as possible, we will once again offer packet pick-up the week before the event at the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce.

Specific packet pick-up dates and hours will be sent out by Friday, September 11.

🏃‍♀️ Check Out the Course:
Interested in seeing the course ahead of time? Take a look at the trail! The 10K will take runners farther along the route, while the 5K runners and walkers will simply turn around earlier.

🎉 Stick Around for the After Party!
We hope you’ll plan to stay after the race and celebrate with us!

The after party will offer participants the follow::

We’ll be presenting overall and age-group medals for both the 10K and 5K, so stick around and cheer on your fellow runners!

📍 Race Start & Parking
The event will start and finish at the West Dundee VFW.

There is ample parking in the lot south of Route 72, off 1st Street.

We’re getting close, and we can’t wait to see you at the starting line! Get those last few training runs in, and get ready for a great morning of running, food, friends and fun! 🎉🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The Heritage Fest 10k is on Saturday September 19, 2026. It includes the following events: Heritage Fest 10k Run!, Heritage Fest 5k!, and Heritage Fest Walk!.
