The name xerrajeros came from the many stickers found on the Langfor doors of Barcelona. Cerrajeros with a "c" means locksmith. In the native language of Barcelona, catalan, many words that start with a "c" are spelled with an "x". The spelling of the collective also has to do with their logo a profile of a head with an "x" in place of the brain and a keyhole in place of the ear. In this instance, the "x" acts like in math, as a variable. The keyhole meaning open to listening, open-minded, open-hearted. The idea was to promote the collective by stickers and graffiti. The logo can be seen in cities within in USofA, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Ecuador, Colombia, Thailand, Japan and Australia.
