Thanks to all who came out to see the new exhibition Layers of Re-iteration: The Long Conversation. Dean Gates introduced curators Frances Melhop and Candace Garlock who spoke about the work and project. Thus exhibit showcases the work of Jim McCormick and Galen Brown with a wide variety of the artist that they had influenced. A wonderful and full encompassing work of art come see it. It will be available until December 16.

, I hope you saw our upcoming show has dropped on Facebook. This large exhibition honors Galen Brown and Jim McCormick, two influential artists and educators in Nevada. The opening reception is next Thursday, 9/24. The exhibit will be available to view until December 16.

Summer is winding down and it is hot. A trip to see some art in the afternoon is a cool way to beat the heat. There is a link in the comments to an article about the photographer and this project. The exhibit is up until September 9. The gallery is open 9-5, M-F and free.

Thanks to all who came out last week for the special Nevada Buckaroo presentation as part of the exhibit with Adam Jahiel's photos from The Last Cowboy project. The photos will remain up for the summer. Come see them on campus, M-F, 9a-5p.
