The Timeless way…
50 years of subtractive sculpting, taking material away that cannot be recovered, have left me unable to keep silent when I see a line being established that cannot be taken back. Like a character flaw in myself, or one of my apprentices, or a precedent set in a community, or an election stolen…a terrible mistake to seal the fate of an entire nation, or even the world. (To scroll down my FakeBook profile will leave you sick of hearing about it…) Like months spent molding in wax a sculpture all about the elections of 2020… A sculpture with little market, if ever in bronze.
Like an unelected body establishing the right to non-transparency and when questioned, completely unaccountable. Like freedom of expression abridged, only to become precedent in a community of We the People…
The Timeless way… A two sided sword it is, one that has delivered to me more harm than good. Like spending decades of life trying to prevent a line being established in America, life spent carving monuments to Liberty, seldom to be sold — when my own life enjoys more freedom than most will ever know!
The Timeless way is the reason for my poverty and the reason this road will likely be the only property my name is ever on, but it all fits perfectly, in some lovely, intricate design! Like a great man once sang, “When you ain’t got noth’n you got noth’n to lose”.
So in the end, the Timeless way is a good sign for a man born to tell the truth.
