Here is a small background detail from the painting (2002)"Allatoona Pass" during the Atlanta campaign. Federals are wheeling off the field a 12lb bronze Napoleon gun and limber. Several models hauled out my original gun and limber and pulled it around. After we were finished I stupidly realized the light was coming from the wrong direction so it had to be done all over again. The very large original oil painting is owned by the excellent Booth Museum in Cartersville , Georgia. To read about this battle:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Allatoona
