Tonight I had the pleasure of speaking for the Cedar Grove Historical Society about my 2nd great grandmother, Jennie Jacobus Taylor.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this evening—it was such a wonderful group, and truly so much fun to share her story with all of you.

I also want to thank you for the enthusiastic conversations after the program. I always enjoy the dialogue, and we love hearing your Cedar Grove history and stories. They are what keep our local history alive.

The Cedar Grove Historical Society has a wonderful week ahead, and we hope you’ll join us!

This Wednesday at 7:30 PM, we’ll be hosting a fascinating program at the Cedar Grove Public Library. This free event is open to all (donations are always appreciated and support the Historical Society).

Amy Rehbein will present the story of Jennie Jacobus Taylor—yes, that Taylor from Taylor’s Dairy. Learn about her life as a local resident and a woman who faced tragedy and overcame incredible adversity. It’s a powerful piece of Cedar Grove history you won’t want to miss.

On Saturday, we’re thrilled to host our very first Tea Event—now officially sold out! Thank you to everyone who signed up. We can’t wait to welcome you.

Be sure to visit our website to see what else is coming up, including line dancing lessons and Line Dancing in the Barn this June. And don’t forget—our farm stand will be reopening in late June/early July. Farmer Gary has been hard at work getting everything ready!

We look forward to seeing you this week!

What a great event! Our Fish & Chips Fundraiser is officially another one in the books. We had such a wonderful turnout—so many familiar faces and so many new ones, too. It was truly great to see everyone out enjoying such a beautiful evening together.

We’re so glad we could provide a delicious supper and give everyone a night off from cooking!

A very special thank you goes out to our incredible volunteers: Jane Flynn, Gary Grey, Michelle Mega, and Jennifer Warkentin. None of this would be possible without your hard work and dedication—we are so grateful for all that you do.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Cedar Grove Historical Society!
