🦖 EXCITING NEWS! Pioneertown Museum is opening for special weekend hours!

Although we've officially closed for the season, the excitement surrounding our newest exhibit is too big to keep behind closed doors!

We're opening Pioneer Town Museum on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-2pm to give everyone a chance to come see our incredible new Mosasaur exhibit!

Come get an up-close look at this fascinating prehistoric marine predator and learn about its connection to our local history.

Whether you've been eagerly waiting to see the Mosasaur or haven't had a chance to visit us this year, we'd love to welcome you!

Come see what all the excitement is about!

The Surface Creek Valley Historical Society is excited to be participating in the Western Colorado History Fair TODAY in Palisade!

Stop by our booth to learn more about Pioneer Town Museum and the fascinating history of the Surface Creek Valley! We'll be showcasing some of our local history, including the historic Bar I Silos and the incredible story of the Cedaredge Mosasaur. 🦖

With more than 30 history booths, presentations, and opportunities to connect with historical organizations from across Western Colorado, there's plenty to explore!

🏆 2026 PIONEER TOWN CAR SHOW WINNERS! 🚗🍎

What an incredible Car Show we had during Apple Fest this year!

With approximately 105 cars entered, we had a fantastic turnout and one of the most interesting varieties of vehicles we’ve seen. From beautifully restored classics to some truly unique cars, there was plenty to admire throughout Pioneer Town.

Congratulations to our Top 15 People’s Choice winners, some of whom are pictured here! Thank you to everyone who voted and helped us recognize these crowd favorites.

And a very special congratulations to our 2026 Best in Show winner, Kraig Patterson, with his beautiful 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Split-Window Coupe! 🏆

Best in Show is especially meaningful because it is selected by the other Car Show participants. Kraig’s Corvette earned the admiration of his fellow car enthusiasts and will now become part of another Pioneer Town Car Show tradition: his 1963 Corvette will be featured on our 2027 Car Show T-shirts!

This tradition has become a special way for us to celebrate the people and cars that have helped make the Pioneer Town Car Show what it is today. We began by featuring the blue Corvette of Richard Udd, former Mayor of Cedaredge and longtime organizer of the Pioneer Town Car Show. Our 2025 Best in Show winner, Mark Fenske, and his Studebaker truck were then featured on this year’s 2026 shirts. Next year, Kraig’s split-window Corvette will take its place in that growing tradition.

Most of all, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated this year. We couldn’t have asked for a better group. Our participants were kind, patient, helpful, and an absolute pleasure to have at Pioneer Town.

And to our amazing volunteers, thank you for working so hard behind the scenes to keep registration, parking, voting, awards, and everything in between running smoothly and efficiently. A Car Show this size simply doesn’t happen without you.
And to our sponsors, we appreciate you for keeping this car show going 33 years strong!

Thank you for making the 2026 Pioneer Town Car Show such a success. We loved seeing Pioneer Town filled with incredible cars, great people, and a whole lot of Apple Fest energy! 🍎🚘

This Sunday, join us at Pioneer Town Museum for a beautiful afternoon of free live music! 🍂🎶

Harvest Harmonies: An Autumn Concert with Harps & Hammers

Sunday, October 11 • 3:00 PM
Location: The Stolte Shed at Pioneer Town Museum (388 S. Grand Mesa Drive Cedaredge

Robin Freed and the Harps and Hammers Ensemble return to the historic Stolte Shed for a special autumn concert featuring an eclectic mix of show tunes, Celtic jigs, hymns, and a few surprise selections. If you are interested in learning more about the harps or hammer dulcimers, Robin and her students welcome the audience to discuss, and even try out, the instruments after the show!

Longtime friends of Pioneer Town, the ensemble is well known for their annual Christmas and St. Patrick’s Day performances, and we’re excited to welcome them back for this brand new fall concert. 🍁

Come enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music while celebrating the colors and spirit of autumn in the Surface Creek Valley.

This is a free concert, but donations to the Surface Creek Valley Historical Society are appreciated!

Pioneer Town is beyond grateful to Craig Keyzer

106 vehicles registered for the Car Show! We couldn't ask for better weather. Our Pioneer Town staff did an amazing job of organizing, registering, and placing all of the cars. Hold Fast Audio DJ entertained with songs from the past, the Pin Up Girls wandered through the large crowds of visitors, and the Cedar Mesa Club was kept very busy with breakfast burritos, pastries, and wraps for lunch.
