Excited to share the launch of the Give a Child a Creative Summer Experience fundraiser! 🎨✨ This year, we're starting the Summer Fashion Camp Scholarship Fund to help young people explore fashion, design, and the arts—especially those who might not otherwise have the chance.

Sponsored by Arts Center Killingworth, this camp offers hands-on learning, confidence-building, and fun projects for ages 11–15. Your support can help reduce financial barriers so more kids can discover their passions and build skills that could shape their future.

Please consider sharing or donating to help us reach more young creatives. Every bit of support makes a difference! Feel free to reach out if you have questions. 🙌

Please give at the link below. Every dollar truly counts and we want to ensure this well-received program continues!

Thank you!

Watercolor Workshop with Bivenne Harvey Steiger
Saturday, April 18, 1-4 pm

https://spectrumartgallery.org/events/learn-how-to-paint-a-chicken-and-her-chicks/

In time for Mother’s Day and the burst of life that comes with spring, have fun learning how to paint in watercolor a sweet hen brooding her little chicks. Instructor will provide a reference (about a week in advance) that’s reasonably easy to draw (without shading) and will guide you through all the steps needed to complete this family portrait. If you prefer, you may work from your own reference. Among other things, earn how to achieve negative-space painting, feather textures, and how to paint a realistic eye. Instructor loves to paint birds, and you might feel inspired to paint them too after this workshop! Supply list provided upon registration.
