🚂 Did You Know? 🚂
The Colorado Central Railroad was a crucial lifeline in the development of Colorado during the late 1800s. Built to serve the booming mining communities of Black Hawk, Central City, and beyond, the railroad played a key role in transporting valuable ores like gold and silver to the growing city of Denver. The line from Forks Creek, seen in this image, was vital in connecting mining camps with the Front Range, helping Golden and other towns thrive.
Today, we are working hard to preserve this incredible history at the Colorado Central Railroad and Mining Museum. With your help, we can restore key parts of this legacy, including extending the original track and restoring the depot.
