Another awesome Great Pumpkin Carve of Chadds Ford is in the books! Carvers are arriving to pick up their pumpkins on this crisp, sunny morning. We ask that the public allows the Carvers have the ability to take their pumpkins till 11:00am today, since they did a tremendous job carving them all day Thursday. After 11am, carved pumpkins are up for grabs, unless there is a reserved sign for the Carver to come later. Thank you for another great event! 🎃🖤🧡

To All Our FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16th Visitors at The Great Pumpkin Carve:

We apologize for the frustrating situation last night. As we watched the radar, it started alerting us that a level 3 Wind Advisory, level 1 Tornado Watch along with thunderstorms was fast approaching from the Harrisburg/Lancaster area. When there is any possibility of thunder & lightening, we cannot take a chance with people out on the field. We made a call to start alerting attendees at 5:45pm / 6:00pm and some may have paid prior to this happening and missed out on the event. We were hoping to wait out the storm and re-open last night, but it became too much of a safety risk walking to and from the parking lot and in the Pumpkin area with all the free standing water. We were doing our best to get everyone to safety and did not post a final comment that we officially closed. Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience and frustration this may have caused, since we want our supporters and community to enjoy the event, as it is a wonderful annual tradition that we want to continue!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the last day of the Great Pumpkin Carve on Saturday, October 17th! After Friday night's rain ending our event early, we are anticipating a higher attendance on Saturday to come out for the cooler weather!

If you can come out for a few hours to help out (gets you in for FREE for the day), please sign up, as we count on our volunteers to continue our wonderful events! Sign up with a friend, as some shifts/areas needs 2 volunteers, then enjoy the event before or after your shift.

PUMPKIN CARVE UPDATE
Friday, October 16, 2026

The Great Pumpkin Carve is on for Friday, October 16th! Possible t'storms in the later afternoon/early evening to pass through. We will be watching the weather closely and update Facebook with any changes. We ask that you maybe plan accordingly and know that the parking lot is a grass meadow.

In the event that a storm may be heading our way, we will make sure to ask visitors to go back to their cars and wait for it to pass. The building will also be open for any handicap or elderly attendees who cannot make it back to their car to sit out any storms.

*This is an outdoor event: The Carved Pumpkin area is in a grassy meadow where there can be divets and unlevel ground. The Haunted Trail is in the tree grove area where there is uneven ground and roots. We ask that you wear comfortable footwear and dress for outdoor weather.

Please come out and see the Pumpkins, enjoy the food, adult beverages, the awesome Bluegrass & Americana Bands! 🎃
