And………we’re CLOSED for the summer.

A big THANK YOU to all of the visitors. Your support helps fund the museum’s acquisition, restoration and preservation efforts. We hope you enjoyed your visit and come back in the fall to see what’s new.

We made it through with a minimum of days with triple digit temperatures. The museum will be closed the months of June, July, and August. Members will continue working on restoration projects and hopefully have exciting new displays for the 2026-2027 season.

The museum will reopen starting Saturday, September 5. The museum is open Saturdays-Sundays (September-May) from 10am-4pm.

But wait, there’s still time…..

There is still one more weekend in May. The Arizona Railway Museum will be open Saturday (5/30) and Sunday (5/31) from 10:00am to 4pm.

Hopefully, the weather will stay below/near 100. Pro tip: The display cars are coolest in the mornings.

As usual, the museum will be CLOSED for the summer months (June-August) and will reopen Saturday, September 5.

The ARM model train layout will be running this Saturday (4/18). Saturday ONLY. It will likely be the last time the model trains run before we close for the summer.

This weekend may be the last weekend under 100 degrees. Come visit the museum before the temperatures soar.

The Arizona Railway Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am-4:00pm, September through May. We close for the summer due to the extreme outdoor temperatures.

Just a reminder, the Arizona Railway Museum will be closed on Easter Sunday. The museum will be open Saturday, April 4 from 10am-4pm.

Our problem is your gain!

The Arizona Railway Museum has too many books for sale. We have multiple copies (3 or more!) of many titles. These books will be for sale as a BOGO (buy one, get one of equal or lesser value).

There are all kinds of books, from general novice “picture books” to rare and unusual “technical books”.

Books are great way to learn about trains and railroad history for young and old alike.

The book sale will be this Saturday, February 28, from 9am to 4pm.

The Arizona Railway Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All proceeds of the book sale go 100% to the museum.

Another book sale at the Arizona Railway Museum??? YES!!!!

When? Saturday, February 28 during the ARM open house event.

Thousands of gently used railroad books at VERY reasonable prices.

Books of all types, old, new, rare, unusual.

A great way to educate new enthusiasts (or even old experts).

Most are under $5. 100% of the proceeds goes to the museum.

Come out, buy a book (or ten) and support the Arizona Railway Museum.

Want something to do this Saturday?

Come visit the Arizona Railway Museum. Walk through twelve passenger cars (from 1879 to 1964). Ring the bell on the Southern Pacific steam locomotive 2562 and visit the ARM model train layouts. The model trains will be running on Saturday (only) from 10am to 4pm.
