Extraordinary Artists

Extraordinary Artists Extraordinary Artists is an art class for adults with autism or other developmental disabilities hosted by Extraordinary Ventures and HappyMess Art Studio.

At Extraordinary Ventures, we focus on the abilities of adults with developmental disabilities to find opportunities for employment, learning, and social engagement. We see the involvement in the arts as a vital part of communication, as well as life enrichment. With the Extraordinary Artists program, we are partnering with a team of community artists called “HappyMess Art Studios” to provide a se

ries of classes throughout the year and then to bring all of those works together into a gala night of exhibition called “An Artful Affair.”

This gallery opening gives us an opportunity to show the artistic abilities of this unique group and celebrate their achievements with their family, friends, and people from the community. We began this program in 2012 and received matching funds grant in 2013, 2014 & 2015 from the NC Orange County Arts Commission to expand and improve the class and exhibit.
