I don’t remember if I showed y’all this one before? There are so many wonderful prints in inventory.I think sometimes they multiply in the dark of night. These are extra special. They were published in the early 1600’s. They are larger than most of the botanicals and are incredibly beautiful in person. Basil Bestler.

I have always been drawn to folk art. The graphic shapes and colors and the simplicity. Though complex. The the added bonus of the hand made frames! I am always watching tramp art frames coming up at auction but then never having the nerve to buy one or what would you put in it. When having a watercolor to frame designing a frame around it hand painted or a beautiful burl. But the other way around? These are all coming up for auction. No, I am not bidding. I don’t know this market or who buys them. Also as some of these are know artists and others unknown how would you price them or for that matter where would I hang them. I do see them in a cute breakfast room or a country kitchen. Maybe an early colonial. These are coming up at Briggs Auction, Inc.
