My father, Edward M Hughes passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 7, 2024, at the age of 89. Memorial services will be January 15, 2024, at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison, Va. 59 Edgewood School Lane, Madison, VA 22727. Visitation at 10 am and services at 11. Memorials instead of flowers can be made to Rose Park United Methodist Church, 318 Shelby Rd, Madison, VA 22727. The church yard at Rose Park is where dad will join my mother, his wife of 63 years before her passing in 2021 and my brother Michael who passed in 2011. Due to the weather and the terrain, there will not be a grave side service.
