ngest member in the family often left me with only my imagination to entertain me. I now bring those ideas to life through my art, my writing and my performances. While growing up I lived in many communities in Jamaica Queens, New York, however during my childhood my family made frequent trips down south. I envied the freedom that my cousins had to run the green fields, climb trees and throw rocks. For me there was no better feeling than to sit on a front porch during the rain. I loved to watching the day become the night from that same porch. To sit on that porch and listen to the stories told by older family members and to be apart of the laughter that broke the silence of the long summer evening was my idea of a piece of heaven on earth. I have taken those memories, the feelings from my heart and put them on canvas and into books to share with the world. To all that view my paintings and read my words my wish for you is that it makes you feel as good as I did when writing them. A dear friend and very wise woman once told me to always reach for the impossible...never settle. She told me to let every new decade in my life be an adventure to remember in the next chapter of forever. I took her words and I ran with them... I am still running.
