Art has a way of reconnecting us to meaningful memories. Today at Artnova Gallery, a visitor shared that her daughter once had Dottie Beaton as a dance teacher — a touching reminder of the impact Dottie had throughout her lifelong career in dance and teaching.

Her sense of movement and expression carries on in her paintings now displayed in the gallery.

We’re honored to feature Dottie Beaton’s art and share her story through her work at Artnova Gallery.

The Pink House of Plum Island by Garima Parakh

Built in 1925 and standing alone against the sweeping marshlands, the Pink House became one of New England’s most photographed and beloved landmarks. Originally part of a larger farm, the house was relocated to its isolated spot—where it stood for nearly a century.

In March 2024, the house was officially demolished by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service after years of structural decline and preservation debate. Though the building is gone, its presence still lingers in the landscape.

This new painting preserves that story. Now available at Artnova Gallery.

Gabriel Beaton and Kate Merrick share a creative collaboration

Gabriel captured this sunset over Oyster Pond in a photograph, and Kate then translated the moment into paint

Working together in this way, the pair often blend photography and painting to explore how a single moment in nature can evolve through different artistic perspectives.

Stop by to experience both pieces and see how one fleeting sunset becomes two unique works of art.

- Painting available at Artnova Gallery
- Limited edition photography prints available

Interested in having one of your photo captured in a painting. Kate Merrick is available for commissions.
