CREATING JUSTICE THROUGH SPEAKING

Played out on the world stage, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford detailed graphic facts of the sexual violence she was subjected to as a teenager by a drunken Brett Kavanaugh. Dr. Ford’s testimony was riveting and painful to hear as listeners absorbed the profound level of her silenced agony. Her anguished story generated inescapable flashbacks of personal horror for countless victims of sexual violence, myself included.

Retaliation did not take long. The power mongers–the most powerful men in this country, perhaps the world–descended upon this one lone woman with all the artillery in their war chest and annihilated her like a wounded bird under their jackboots. Powerful men wield powerful weapons: explosive fury. Ridicule and mockery. Brutal accusations of a corrupted memory. Allegations of conspiracy aimed to strip a powerful man of his privilege to ascend to the throne of power.

Sexual assault is committed in the shadows by the powerful against the vulnerable, the powerless, and the subjugated. It is tremendously difficult for a victim to produce corroborating evidence. Social, religious and familial justice is simply not available to the vulnerable, the powerless, or the subjugated. The shielded crime of sexual assault will always come to rest at the feet of the willfully blind. The trump card carried by all aggressors is the comforting knowledge that most victims of sexual violence will never be believed.

Social, religious and familial justice may not be available to victims of sexual violence, but speaking is. Through speaking we can create our own justice. Speaking is educating. Education empowers.

We can teach following our intuition over blindly following the commands of the powerful. We can show how to develop courage and how to utilize anger and frustration as tools for truth, evolution, and empowerment instead of allowing our frustration to immobilize us into helplessness.

Speaking truth–no matter the consequences–empowers us with courage to live fully in the light of our integrity and move with confidence toward clarity. Speaking empowers our children with the might of their own truth and to speak without shame no matter the details. Speaking is the path to creating justice.

Each time you speak you chase away more of the darkness
where broken girls, dispirited women, and terrified children hide.

Each time you speak you ease the burden and illuminate the way for another victim.

Each time you speak, the shame of sexual violation is lessened.

Each time you speak you help another abuse victim fine her voice.

“BUDDY”
(Not his real name. Then again, maybe it is.)

Each time we go into this particular river town antique shop, I encounter “Buddy” hovering in the basement. Generally his energy is thick and dense. This energy has suggested that he feels trapped and that there is indentured servitude attached to him.

On a recent visit, “Buddy’s” energy was extremely intense and highly agitated. He conveyed a dire sense of being cursed suggesting that during his physical life—in the 1800s—he was involved in shanghais (kidnapping men for compulsory service aboard a ship) and indentured servitude. According to his energy, “Buddy” was a barrel-chested brute, but other men were more so.

There were knife fights and slashings. It appears that “Buddy” may have had significant involvement in aggressive situations, thus his belief that he is cursed (for his wrongdoings). (“Buddy” is not cursed, he is cursing himself.)

Shortly after this last encounter, “Buddy’s” guide made connection. This spirit energy felt very grounded and loving but carried the absolute straightforward, blunt energy of a former sea captain. Accompanying the no-nonsense energy guide was a kind, gentle, loving canine energy guide. Both spirit energies surround “Buddy” but have been unable to break through to him.

It was obvious during this last encounter with “Buddy” that an intervention of intense light—a circle of intense loving light—would be immensely helpful. Perhaps an opportunity will present itself sometime in the future when “Buddy” is ready to receive love.

STUCK

“I like to get over on people; take advantage of situations,” is how this energy connected. He indicated that he stole from businesses, but not outright. He had schemes that went just over the line and enjoyed bragging about his exploits to his two sons. He could not understand why this humiliated his boys. His attitude is, if you can get over on someone, why not do it?

His blocked energy suggested that his behavior destroyed his relationship with his sons. He felt that they were pretty stupid for not learning from him and retains anger at their rejection. He maintains that he was right and his boys were the stupid ones.

This spirit energy indicated that he has been given opportunities on the spirit plane to “see”, to look at the breakdown of his relationship with his boys. He refuses to “see,” indicating that there is nothing wrong with what he did by “getting over on people.” He ended his connection with, “Who wouldn’t do it if they were smart enough?”

This energy connected with a singular purpose: to defend his position. He would not be diverted from his opinion, refusing to see that holding on to what does not serve you prevents what would serve you from getting in.

RAVISHING

This spirit energy connected with the words: a great artesian with all the flamboyant, bedecked and bejeweled energy of New Orleans and Mardi Gras. While on the physical plane, she said she lived out loud and rescued the little boy inside her. She presented intelligence and was vibrant, colorful and opinionated with powerful, exciting and positive energy.

When asked how she passed, she answered, “I didn’t pass, darling. I floated.”

Evidently her body was being ravished by aids and she chose when it was time for her to leave. The description of su***de did not fit. Rather she wanted to take control of her life and she did.

Now on the spirit plane, she has settled into very serious work, embracing and encouraging lost, lonely boys (on the physical plane), as she once was one. To her joy, she is surrounded by loving (spirit) animals.

She says she is no longer being ravished (by disease). Instead, she calls herself Ravishing.

SHUDDERING MAN

This in-spirit energy connected through the sensation of shuddering. He did not reveal his name, simply indicating that on the physical plane he was a man of wealth and privilege. According to him, he passed when his throat closed up and his head “exploded”, indicating an allergic reaction to something or other.

While on the earth plane, he stated that he “bound women by the legs,” and “bound women by the hands.” (This is symbolic indicating subjugation, repression.) He said he used women to “do his bidding.” He showed one woman getting breast implants just to please him.

Now on the spirit plane, he shudders with deep shame and horror over his behavior and over the way in which he concealed his actions from himself.

Through the sensation in my hands, he illustrated how his hands burn in correspondence to how he “bound the hands of women.”

ANNOYING DAVE

Annoying Dave connected by showing himself as a skinny guy balancing on his head wearing a too tight, too small, plaid PeeWee Herman-type suit, presumably for laughs. He indicated that he was a practical joker for his entire earth life. People defended him (his behavior) and he encouraged their excuses for his behavior because he just couldn’t help himself.

One person who did not encourage him was his wife, Ann—Dave did not pull his jokes on her. Ann, whose energy was near Dave’s during this connection, indicated that she always knew that there was something underneath Dave’s annoying behavior. Now on the spirit plane, Ann’s role is to stand back and observe; to give Dave room to figure it out for himself.

Dave indicates that he is beginning to sense creative abilities beneath the darkness and hostility of his practical jokes. But there is a block, he says, a clog on top of his light that he is only just beginning to see.

STARFISH, THE JAZZ MUSICIAN

Starfish connected with his name: STARFISH, showing that he played in clubs in a city with elevated trains (Chicago?). Starfish said he was referred to as a Negro, suggesting the 1950s. He indicated that he passed due to a lifetime of bodily excesses. While on the earth plane he had a pet iguana that he called, Fifth—as in fifth of whisky.

Starfish has immense creative energy. Now on the spirit plane, he says he “runs a school of musical inspiration.” His work is to inspire youngsters to dig deep into their creativity and fill the world with music!

COLD BONES

She startled me. The energy around her was eerie…no, I have to admit, her energy was creepy. Around 14 years old, thin as a stick in a white slip dress down to her bony knees and long dark hair, she kept repeating: cold bones, cold bones. She indicated that her name is Alex/Alexandra, that she had been anorexic and passed when she contracted a virus that she couldn’t fight off. Again she said, cold bones.

At first I thought Alex was a victim of violence. Soon I realized that she was the victimizer. Alex confessed that on the earth plane she bullied (evidently mercilessly) a girl named Regan over a boyfriend on Facebook.

Now on the spirit plane, Alex feels like she is contained in a box (energetic boundary) because she is expected to come to understand why she had cold bones, as she calls her bullying behavior. She said “they” expect her to figure this out on her own. According to Alex, “they” said that there is no use in explaining her bullying behavior as it would be meaningless to her. She has to figure it out herself.

Alex expressed her wish to be back on the earth plane where she believes it would be easier to figure out and understand her negative/destructive behavior. Her energy felt very defeated.

“KEEP IT TIGHT”

This energy connected indicating that he suffered from a skin/nerve disorder on the physical plane that created itching and discomfort (perhaps psoriasis). Also, there was a heaviness associated with the right side of his face. He had a triangular shaped face, similar to Arsenio Hall, and said that his name is John. He worked with and mentored at-risk kids through a Youth Ministry. His kids called him, Mr. John.

He does not want to lecture through this message, but he wants his kids to absolutely know this: YOU ARE GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT. John stated this with the confidence of a deep knowing. He appeared to be referring to ultimately.

He ended the connection with a remark he apparently repeated often to his kids: Keep It Tight.

WORDS AND THE TYPESETTER

A string of typed words appeared. Faded. Then appeared again. Words to this in-spirit male energy were and are vitally important to him. His energy appeared serious and concerned. On the physical plane he didn’t write the words but he worked with them. He was a typesetter. He was a man—and is a spirit—of deliberate words, knowing how vitally important words are in shaping the world.

According to The Typesetter, colors (vibrations) are attached to words. He expressed this through the image of a vertical xylophone, each graduated bar painted a brilliant, primary color. The Typesetter prefers words with high (saturated) primary colors.

The Typesetter said that the energy of words is eternal. That words find their way into people’s hearts and stay. Words pollute. Words inspire. Words destroy. Words heal. Words drive the world. Once spoken, words never go away—their energy is eternal.

The Typesetter’s message is: Words are real. Words are eternal. Words remain forever in hearts.

F***Y, PATRON SAINT OF TEACHERS

First thing this spirit energy did was announce her name: F***y! She came into view as a thin but not frail elder wearing a modest, floral polyester dress with a peter pan collar. Just before she passed in her late eighties/early nineties, F***y said she fell and sprained/broke her left elbow.

F***y indicated that she was a teacher and feels a deep kinship with all teachers. In fact, she likes to think of herself as the Patron Saint of Teachers (though this apparently is not an official title). F***y did not leave teaching by her own choosing, she said. Basically she was forced out by a bureaucratic situation, which she did not explain.

She greatly loved her students and wants to tell teachers: “You are teaching souls—you are entrusted with these young souls.”

Though F***y dearly misses teaching and her students, she understands and respects boundaries and now only observes and does not interfere with students and teachers on the earth plane. (Though obviously she wanted to pass forward sentiments important to her spirit through this message.)

TIME RUNNING OUT

The strong in-spirit guidance of a couple—a man and a woman—joined energies in an effort to connect with them spiritually through this message.

Related to their wedding day is a dock near/or over a river (some type of body of water) that is reached by a descending set of steep wooden stairs. The bride wore a simple A-line long white dress/gown. (I don’t know when the marriage occurred, but the couple looked to be in their mid twenties to early thirties at the time.)

Surrounding the energies of this couple is significant symbolism of time running out. This is not necessarily referring to physical death. However, it does strongly indicate a profound life disruption in their marital energy field that signifies a major impact on their marriage and coupleness.

Their joined spiritual guidance encourages this couple to say what they need to say, what they have never expressed to each other, and must say to avoid the deep and profound regret of crucial opportunities forever lost. What remains unsaid will acutely obstruct their individual spiritual and emotional peace when the inevitable occurs.

Their guidance indicates that the fall—October, specifically—has particular meaning to this couple. Whatever the significance, time to speak is of the essence as time is running out for them.

PUSHING UP DAISIES

A young, unsettled male spirit energy made connection indicating that he passed approximately three years ago in his late teens, early twenties. With his energy this young male implied that while on the earth plane he flitted all over the place. He claimed that he was lazy, did not want to focus, and refused to work that hard, and that his irresponsibility caused chaos for those around him. Evidently he was responsible in some way for motors in cars but his inattention and oversight created big problems not only for others, but also caused his death. Because of laziness, he’s “pushing up daisies,” he said.

Now on the spirit plane this young man said he longs for the light of understanding suggesting that it is much easier to gain understanding while still on the earth plane. He says he suffers deep grief—agony—over how he squandered his opportunities and his refusal to utilize the “tools” available to him (for development).

On the earth plane he says that he carried a lot of fear, and he still does not know why.

AMEN!

Her energy read as exceptionally loving with a high degree of communication ability. She showed herself wearing a turban and demonstrated pressure on the front of her head, symbols of the brain cancer that ended her physical life. During her earth life she got a kick out of wearing several silver chains around her neck—at least a dozen—that resembled a long bib of glistening sterling silver.

She said that she had a big problem with the undertaker saying that “he twitched,” indicating that he promised one thing but did another and she was not happy about that!

During her earth life she was a part of a Christian ministry. She showed herself behind a pulpit. (With her exuberant energy and communication abilities, I’m not sure if she was a preacher or a gospel choir leader.) She said “they” (the ministry/gospel) traveled all over the world, including Rome.

Despite her irritation with the undertaker, she said that when she passed, “I knew the light when I saw it! I’m in my glory!! AMEN!!!”
