SMHF would like to thank Eagle Scout Isaac Powells, age 14. Issac coordinated efforts to create a small retaining wall/planter at the front of the house. He obtained the needed materials at a substantial discount and coordinated 14+ volunteers on two different Saturday work crews; a total of 81 hours went into the project, including the planning time. Isaac says he learned a lot with this project!

Issac, we sure are impressed and can't thank you enough. You are a pretty incredible kid!

Our biggest news yet, our determination arrived recently and......... SMHF is officially a 501(c)3 non-profit!!!!!!! We are so excited, after several years of hard work with the invaluable help of the community, we did it! SMHF donations are now fully deductible, under the fullest extent the law allows. We are pretty proud of SMHF if we do say to ourselves.
