The Southeastern Elementary school PTA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders and community members is important to the success of our students and school. That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.

We need your help! As part of the process outlined by National PTA, we are requesting feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. Using the community feedback, we will build an Excellence Action Plan to strengthen family-school partnerships.

Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at this school and complete this survey. Please complete this survey by May 31!

🏆⚽️🏈 Moving Up to the Big Leagues! ⚾️🏀🎉
We can’t wait to celebrate our amazing 5th graders as they get ready to move up to the big leagues! This end-of-year party is going to be packed with fun, games, music, food, and memories to celebrate an incredible year together.

5th grade families — be sure to check your email for information on how to RSVP for the party.

If you signed up to volunteer for a station during the event, our 5th Grade Representative, Ashley Sams-Suggs, will be reaching out with additional details soon.

Please join us in congratulating our Southeastern Elementary PTA Scholarship Winner, Abigail Singh! 🎉🩵

Abigail is a senior at Hickory High School with an incredible 4.5 GPA, ranking 38th in her class. She has served as Secretary of the National Spanish Honor Society and Treasurer for Class Office, while balancing academics, leadership, and service throughout her high school career.

This fall, Abigail will attend the University of Florida to major in Chemistry. 🐊🧪

We are so proud to award Abigail the 2026 Southeastern Elementary PTA Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 and cannot wait to see all she accomplishes in the future!

Congratulations, Abigail — your Southeastern Elementary family is cheering you on every step of the way! 🩵🖤

5th Grade yard signs are in! Parents must pick up their yard sign from the security desk. Please find your name on the list and sign off that you received it. Don’t forget to grab the stake too! Students are not able to bring the signs home on the bus.

We do have TWO blank signs available on a first come first serve basis. Please email [email protected] if you would like to purchase one.

What an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week at Southeastern! 🌺☀️

We kicked off the week Monday with our Feast in Paradise featuring lunch from Jason’s Deli along with lots of delicious donated desserts for our amazing staff to enjoy.

Tuesday was all about being Lei’d Back with an easy grab-and-go breakfast in the lounge filled with parfaits, bagels, donuts, pastries, and more!

Wednesday, the Tiki Snack Cart rolled through the halls delivering personalized staff orders, and each staff member got the chance to “Punch the Pineapple” to see if they were a winner! Of course, everyone at Southeastern is a winner, so every staff member received a $10 Target gift card and a Hawaiian sticker! 🍍🎉

Thursday brought It’s 2:04 Somewhere, where staff members got to create their own Tropical Tiki Drink in the lounge and choose a special Message in a Bottle. Three lucky staff members found stars on the bottom of their bottles and won raffle prizes, but every bottle contained words of appreciation and encouragement for our incredible staff. 💛

Today wraps up the week with a teacher workday, and our admin team treating the staff to lunch!

We are so thankful for every volunteer who helped make this week so special — from planning events, donating items, decorating doors, bringing in lunches, and everything in between. Your support and generosity helped us celebrate the BEST staff around.

We are so grateful for our Southeastern family and love every opportunity to show our appreciation for all our staff does each and every day! 🌴🌺

What a wonderful evening celebrating the amazing work being done across our community at the CCPTA Awards Dinner! ✨

We are incredibly proud of the Southeastern PTA Board and all of the volunteers who helped make this year such a success. This evening, Southeastern PTA was recognized for:

🏆 Local Unit Achievement Award
🏆 28,380 Hours of Service
🏆 Impactful PTA of the Year & VAPTA Nomination

These accomplishments would not have been possible without the dedication, teamwork, and countless helping hands from our volunteers, families, staff, and supporters along the way. Thank you for showing up for our school community time and time again.

As we head into the final months of the school year, we are cherishing every moment together — especially as we prepare to say goodbye to two incredible board members. While they will be greatly missed, we are excited to finish out another wonderful year strong together.

Thank you for making Southeastern PTA something so special! 🩵🖤
