There are two more official opening days at Fischer Arts — Friday and Saturday, March 20th and 21st. Over the coming days, we’re offering discounts on the remaining pieces in the gallery. For those who may not be able to visit in person, a small collection — including jewelry and antique prints — are still available online.

More than anything, I want to say thank you. To everyone who has walked through the door, paused in front of a piece, shared a story, spent a moment in the space — your presence has shaped this gallery in ways I could never have created alone. The conversations, the warmth, the trust — all of it has made this space feel deeply alive.

Knowing that these pieces now live in your homes brings me joy that is hard to put into words...

This closing is, of course, bittersweet. It is never easy to say goodbye to a physical space that has held so much. But what remains are the connections, the memories, and a quiet sense of something continuing just beneath the surface.

There is a new chapter beginning to take shape — something still forming and unfolding. After this weekend, the website will begin to evolve, and in time, I look forward to sharing more of what is ahead.

For now, I hope to see you one more time — Friday or Saturday — to share a moment in the space together.

With a heavy heart, we are saying goodbye to our lovely location on the green.
Join us the next two weekends (Feb 27th -March 1st, and then again March 6-8). We will be open Fri, Sat, Sun 11-4. You will find selection of handcrafted gifts and antique prints on sale (both online and in-store).

We will close March 14th for a bit of re-grouping, with a final opening the weekend of March 21st.

New beginnings - but our roots are strong....

We've had our home on the Chester green for five years now. And what an incredible experience it has been. We have truly loved being part of this space and community.

With deepest gratitude for the wonderful friends we have met, and the incredible experiences over the years - we are beginning a thoughtful wind-down of our brick-and-mortar location. And we warmly welcome Sage Jewelry and Gifts to their new home in this space in 2026.

Fischer Arts is a wonderful business, and I believe it is evolving. I will continue the website/social media. And with time, I strongly suspect another door will open. I continue to collaborate with our artists, and am very open to the next chapter.

I’m back! 🌿✨
I spent the last couple of weeks bringing a wonderful group of students to Belize’s stunning rainforests and coral reefs for a Tropical Communities course — and it was incredible.

Also… I am now an absolute expert in counting to 12 😂
Between swimming in the jungle (yes, crocodiles 😳) and snorkeling in the ocean (ummm - with sharks), my amazing colleague and I spent most of our time counting the 12 students getting in—and out—of the water...

But honestly, they were an incredible crew. I could not have imagined a more exciting and rewarding experience.

Some of you may know that I am a bit of a "career chameleon" - and I have a few different professional roles. One of those is a college biology professor. This past semester I added a "Tropical Communities" course to my schedule - and it is time to take the students abroad to apply what they have learned. So we are in Belize to explore flora and fauna of the rainforest, and then move on to coral reef ecology. It is exciting and fun, but it means Fischer Arts will be closed for a bit.

Looking forward to seeing you again on January 23rd!
