SYDNEY BIRNIE, Great Great Granddaughter of Alexander Birnie, subcontractor who built 27 bridges, culverts and walls along the mountain section of the Western Railroad (including the Keystone Arches) in 1840, got to see her ancestor's handiwork on a hike along the KAB Trail on 9/1/26. She's seen here with her husband, Hugh Manley in front of the kiosk honoring Alexander along the trail.
