JewishCollections.com was developed with two main goals in mind. First, we wanted to put together a product that will combine baseball and Judaism ,as well as music and Judaism, and appeal mainly to the Jewish population, but also to baseball and music fans as a whole. We believe that the timing is perfect in that at no other time in baseball history could a group of stars from the past and presen

t be put together at once. The group ranges from 1953 MVP Al Rosen, the most dominant pitcher of the 1960’s in Sandy Koufax, 1970’s and 1980’s superstars including Cy Young winner Steve Stone and World Series MVP Steve Yeager, 1990’s 30-30 club and 49 home run hitter, Shawn Green, to the active superstars of today in Ryan Braun, Kevin Youkilis and Ian Kinsler. Second this project will support many worthwhile charities for years to come. We are donating over $1,000,000 to multiple charities across the globe during the course of this project. The more artwork we are able to sell the higher the donations will be. The project will also educate people, especially the Jewish population, as to the role of the Jewish athlete in major league baseball. ROB REINER was not only a great guy, but a true baseball fan, taking his son Jake to every Major League park. When I did my Jews in Baseball Artwork project, there was no doubt that he needed to be included as a proud Jew and baseball fan. I contacted him and he was excited to be a part of the project. I was lucky enough to sit with him for a couple hours while he signed each and every piece and told his incredible stories. He was so nice, genuine, and of course funny. The post would be too long to include all the stories but one fun fact that may interest people was his answer to my question "What movie, TV show, or any other event from your career do you get asked about most?" He said....The Princess Bride.
