The Gage Gallery was founded in 2001, shortly after Roosevelt University's expansion into the historic Gage building on Michigan Avenue. Situated directly across the street from Chicago's Millennium Park, the gallery has exhibited nationally and internationally known photographers and artists, and has hosted numerous public lectures, panel discussions and symposia. The gallery is committed to show

ing contemporary work that addresses the important social issues of our time. The Gage Gallery is affiliated with, and supported by the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences at Roosevelt University. Gage Gallery hours: M-F, 10am-1pm, Sat, 10am-4pm, Closed Sundays

Vanessa Charlot is an award-winning photographic artist, filmmaker, and an Assistant Professor of Media and Communication at the University of Mississippi School of Journalism and New Media. Her interdisciplinary work delves into the intersectionality of race, politics, culture, and sexual/gender aiming to explore the collective human experience. Through her photography and filmmaking, Charlot seeks to emphasize the humanity of Black bodies, challenging viewers to reconsider their perceptions and engage with the nuanced histories and contexts of her subjects.
