After 10 years of classes, workshops and art therapy, the studio is closing because the building's new owners are not renewing tenants' leases, Ancestry Moon owner Salima Cobb-Collins said.

My art studio is closing its doors at our Beverly location. We have had an amazing 10yrs in our space!!🥳🙌🏼🥳 We will not be taking on new clients or booking events for 2026. I will be giving away supplies, tables, chairs at a very low price...and works of art will be tagged $10 - $50 for the taking. Send me a message for available scheduled hours of operations. Hello, I'm Salima, and one notable aspect of my experience is that aside from teaching art in my classroom, I direct an art studio providing enrichment opportunities for a broad range of ages. Having spent 25 years as an art educator, my studio has reached a significant landmark, marking its 10th anniversary in our present location. I anticipate sharing projects from my classroom and art events facilitated at my studio. Moreover, I am privileged to serve as a STEAM representative, highlighting black innovators at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, a responsibility I assume each year in commemoration of Black History Month.
