The Rumbleseat Bar & Grille generously donated $1,000 of the proceeds from the Feast of St. Joseph celebration to the Polish Center. Making the check presentation below is Billy Stetson, owner of The Rumbleseat, Olen Bielski, Director of Business Development at the Polish Center and Greg Bernat, owner of Bernat’s Deli in Chicopee, MA. The lively all-day event was held March 19, 2026 at the Rumbleseat.

National Day of Remembrance of Poles Who Saved Jews Under German Occupation

March 24th is the National Day of Remembrance of Poles Who Saved Jews Under German Occupation. The POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw commemorates Poles who rescued Jews during the German occupation (1939–1945) by documenting their stories. The Yad Vashem Institute honors them with the title Righteous Among the Nations. The stories of help are popularized against the socio-political context of the German occupation, taking into account the complexity and diversity of the attitudes of Poles towards the Holocaust. The collection boasts almost 1,000 stories of help.
