⏰🗓️ 2️⃣0️⃣ years ago today. One of the greatest days in IVC history. The Grey Ghosts slipped past Maroa-Forsyth, 57-54, to advance to the Class 1A State Championship game against undefeated Seneca, taking the game to the final seconds, 44-47. With the State finals no longer in Peoria, this story is unlikely to happen again. A legend that will never die for Grey Ghost fans that night.🏆🏀👻

Another historical tidbit:
To secure this future supply, the Navy established the Constitution Grove at the Naval Support Activity Crane base in Indiana, where more than 50,000 acres of forest are managed specifically to produce white oaks that take 150 to 200 years to mature.
These trees will replace hull planks, keel sections, and structural beams during major restorations, ensuring the ship remains seaworthy for generations. It’s one of the most unusual long‑term conservation programs in the world: a modern navy cultivating centuries‑old timber to preserve a vessel that predates the White House itself.
