Sea Art by Beth at Bay Blessings Gallery Her work is showcased at Bay Blessings Gallery on Main Street Chincoteague. Watercolor is the medium I use for most of my artwork. It is my first love.

Owned and operated by Beth Mills, Sea Art specializes in original watercolors inspired by the stunning wildlife and scenery of Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. Chincoteague is my inspiration. il is my goal. I want the viewer to feel the subject to feel the movement to see what I saw when I was painting. See the relative peace in the bird slowly gliding through the water looking for its next meal. Feel the cold of the snow as the mother and child walk to church. The pride of the daughter fishing with her dad. The love of sisters walking on the beach together. I want the person looking at the painting of Ibis gathered in my back yard to feel the humor in their faces and craggy feet. I majored in Art in College and have taken many classes throughout my life. I studied Cloisonné at the Smithsonian in Washing DC for 2 years. I have also taught art classes for many years and feel I learn as much from my students as I am able to teach. I also have a fondness for the American Crafts and enjoy repurposing items making a old door into a chic headboard, or a old head board into a porch swing. Close pins into a chip bag clip with a Chincoteague light house or a crab claw painted on the pin. I come about my love for painting honestly my mother was an award winning oil painter and my inspiration. The tradition goes on as my daughter is also an Artist. I do most of my painting in my studio on Main Street in Chincoteague. Look for me sitting on my front porch greeting walkers by as I stroke the canvas with color.
