Half Blind Miniatures - Elizabeth Gaul 18th and 19th century style ornamental seashell work and
American folk art in 1:12 scale. Welcome to Half Blind Miniatures.

Here you will find examples of my miniature artwork. Fine Paint-Decorated Boxes and Accessories in 18th and 19th Century Style. 1" & 2" scale. All of my work is created by myself, using hard and soft woods - poplar, swiss pear, cherry, walnut - painted in oil and/or watercolor. Most pieces are based on the antique "real life" examples found in museum and private collections. Member: IGMA and The Miniature Society of Cincinnati.

“The Seabed” began life as a Bespaq dollhouse bed. Then, the shells came out to play.

Bermuda pink sand, various shells, sea urchin tests and spines. The little doll is an antique German penny doll, reimagined as a mermaid.

These began with a piece of clay that I embossed with a piece of fossilized coral. Then embellished with various shells, sea urchin tests and spines.
