Even harder to keep from falling into despair at how much hate people seem to have for those they deem “lesser” or “weird” or such. The Lucky Cat Museum has always been and will always be a Safe Space for everyone. And if you are ANGRY like we are, we have the purrfect kitty for you! 🐱✨ If you love quirky finds, the Lucky Cat Museum is pure joy.

What began as a personal collection of Japanese Maneki Neko (those iconic waving lucky cats) has grown into a full museum filled with thousands of cats in every size, color, and style imaginable.

It’s part art gallery, part cultural experience, and completely one-of-a-kind. Even better? Admission is free (donations are appreciated)—you just need to reserve your visit in advance.

Come for the luck… stay for the endless cats. 🐾

I’m going to blame Daylight Savings for me missing Maneki Monday. But here we go: some of my absolute favorite pieces in the collection to share with guests! I love the look on peoples’ faces when they see these kaiju are just piles of kitties! Even the cat with a jet pack is being purr-pelled by kitten flames! even makes a giant version of the head ones but I can’t talk myself into it! And the cats forming a tiger rug is especially loved by Yakko. I highly recommend seeing them in person! #招き猫

Happy Hina Matsuri! Also known as Girl’s Day or Festival of the Dolls! March 3 families celebrate the daughters of the household by displaying an Emperor and Empress set. Ours are all pretty small but some sets can include all the servants and members of the court as well. #ひな祭り #招き猫
