JUNE 11: HONOR & REMEMBER: THE BOND OF US FREEDOMS, SERVICE & SACRIFICE — For June’s Extended Evening Hours presentation, starting at 6pm, COL (ret) Michelle Stewart shares the history and impact of the organization Honor & Remember (honorandremember.org) and explores the bond between US freedoms and the sacrifice of US service members. An Honor & Remember Flag will be presented to Marilyn Rustand Lieurance, in recognition for her work as well as her father and fallen WWII P-17 pilot, 1LT “Rusty” Rustand. Marilyn will also share her experience volunteering with the WWII Battlefield Research and Preservation Group, the American War Orphans Network (AWON), and the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC).

JUNE 13: LIVING HISTORY DAY: PRESENT TO PAST — Experience history in motion as we showcase modern military vehicles, equipment, and technology alongside their historic counterparts. This year’s focus is on the “Modern Era” (1990s-2020s), highlighting the more recent service of veterans from the Gulf War through 9/11 to the present day. Participants include US Army Corps of Engineers, National Association for Black Veterans, Employer Support of the Guard & Reserves, 142nd Fighter Wing Emergency Management Office, and Oregonian veterans of the Gulf War.
