What a wonderful way to end our 2026 season yesterday. The weather was perfect, we had a great showing of antique tractors and vehicles. We would like to thank everyone who brought your vehicles, worked to help put the event on
and the Clare Fire Department for bringing the Fire Truck for everyone to see. We appreciate all the folks who came to step back in time and tour our complex. Here are a few pictures from yesterday to share some of what the ones that came were able to see. We will close now until May 2027. However continue to follow us here as we will continue to work on preserving the rich history of Clare County.

Tomorrow is the big day! Please join us for our annual "Old Fashion Day". We will be honoring our 150 year old Dover School. The event is free, donations are welcome. We will have music by the Sunshine Band, Free Bean Soup & Cornbread, an extremely interesting program on the history of lumbering in Clare County, by Angie Henry, and a wagon ride around the country side. Plus there will be many displays in our museum and you can tour our two very well preserved Log cabins.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be additional parking in the field south of the museum. We encourage you to bring the whole family and take a step back in time at the corner of Dover Rd. & Eberhart Ave. We hope to see you soon.
