CLAREMONT — The martial arts community in the Claremont area lost a very important member, National Institute of Modern Martial Arts (NIMMA) co-founder Hanshi Ramona Hastings.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to update you on some more of our progress. So over the past few weeks the historical committee has worked on general cleaning/organizing on the 2nd floor as well as adding more displays to the museum timeline. We've also begun the process of displaying trophies 🏆that have been awarded to NIMMA students. So we have 3 shelves up so far to display the trophies and we are planning to add a few more shelves as well in order to continue that. We're also planning on adding some more displays around the 2nd floor pretty soon. And today we began setting up Ben Hahn's Lego Dojo room! So we started painting it today along with painting a couple more shelves and we were very successful. The shelves should be all set to be hung up and the room most likely only needs one more coat of paint! After that we should be all set to move his lego dojo and supplies in there 😃 The lego dojo isn't done, it's still a work in progress but it's super cool and deserves to be shown off.

Renshi Mitchell Kelly is being deployed today for one month in Texas and 11 months in Kosovo. Renshi Mitchell is in the New Hampshire Army National Guard. He has achieved the rank of Specialist and his M.O.'s are Military Police Officer and Black Hawk Repairer. Please wish him luck and show your support for him as he leaves the U.S.A. to assist a newly formed country and its citizens. 🇺🇸🌍👮🏻‍♂️👨🏻‍🔧🇽🇰🇺🇳
