Monday June 22 and Tuesday June 23 - the book sale is open from 8:30-11:30 in the morning. We have tried to sort the books into genres -fiction, non-fiction, romance, western, sci-fi, mystery, vintage, religious/self help, cookbooks, travel, farm/outdoors, kids. But we can assure you - some of them ended up in another section, so look thru it all! Sales and donations are earmarked to help with the cost of replacing the roof on the 4-H schoolhouse.

Sale hours: Monday and Tuesday 8:30-11:30;
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10-2.

How many books do you read? We have a lot of books, just waiting for a new home! Sale starts Saturday, 10 am. Hardbacks are $1, softcovers 50 cents, kids books, magazines, and romance novels are all 25 cents. Lots of mystery books, cookbooks, and quilting books! We will be selling all next week too! Proceeds are going to replace the 4-H schoolhouse roof. Stop in and don't leave empty handed!

We recently received some funeral records (older) from Roger Ewing and Wright County, Iowa Genealogical Searchers. 1910 has been scanned in and other years will follow. The list can be found on "https://iagenweb.org/wright/Vitals/wrightvitals.htm". Go to the bottom of the page for Deaths in Wright County, 1910 and other years are posted. Please remember that the cause of death will be using old medical terminolgy. Sometimes the terms have changed over the years!

Did you know it's Iowa Museum Week? You might enjoy a trip to one of the area museums (Heartland in Clarion, Belmond Historical Museum in Belmond, Rowan and Dows both have museums! Take a road trip and enjoy.

259 Bears counted - when you visit, see if you can spot the one duplicate, and a dog, and two mice!

Stop at Heartland Museum between May 27 and June 6th - to view over 200 of our teddy bears for free! (They are in the community room) Choose your favorite bear and there are coloring pages for the kids. Turn the colored pages back in to Heartland by June 6th - winner can take home a bear! The rest of our bears can be viewed in the museum for normal admittance fees.)

Summer hours start this week, on Wednesday! Don't forget - we are having a week long celebration with a Mini Teddy Bear Reunion in our community room - free to come in and look! bring your own Teddy for photos. There are also bears left in the Teddy Bear Museum, which is part of the normal museum tour, and has an entrance fee.
