Lorenzo Swinton’s most recent new body of work marks a profound shift toward what he describes as “spiritual works”, a familiar artistic revisitation and expansion of earlier approaches. Within these compositions, the artist explores the intersection of faith, intuition, and transformation, positioning creation itself as both a devotional act and a form of revelation. Each piece operates as a visual meditation, and an exploration of how guidance, surrender, and uncertainty has shaped his artistic and spiritual evolution. Through these gestures, Swinton constructs a visual theology, where form and texture embody questions of belief, purpose, and human condition.

In what he calls the “Seasons of Instruction,” Swinton has moved forward in faith without fear; serving, encouraging, and inspiring through divine blessings. Over the past two years, he has embraced the beauty found within sacrifice and following each instruction placed before him while experiencing tests throughout. These experiences reveal that within the unfamiliar paths of the unknown, the greatest blessings often emerge. These self-reflective lenses and senses of obedience and trust are not passive but rather an active creative force that informs his evolving practice.

The works presented are at once deeply primordial, personal, broadly human, and questionably prophetic; expressions of vulnerability, honesty, and love above all else. They chronicle a journey marked by continual improvement of grace and growth, suggesting that transformations are inseparable from loss and renewal. Swinton’s visual language reflects the cyclical nature of spiritual and creative rebirth, reminding the audience that for new life to take root, certain things must be allowed to perish.

The Lorenzo Swinton Gallery is honored to bring you “Inception”, a solo exhibition by the ever so talented Lorenzo Swinton . This collaboration with a theme written and curated by gives us a prolific new body of work with profound depth from the past and present of Lorenzo Swinton.

“Inception” is a tender reckoning with time, a moment suspended between endings and beginnings. It is the quiet exhale after years of creation, the heartbeat that signals both closure and awakening. Through this exhibition, Lorenzo Swinton stands at the threshold of renewal, honoring the journey that shaped him while stepping boldly into the unknown.

Swinton’s art has always been an act of becoming; a constant evolution of self, form, and vision. His works breathe with memory and transformation, carrying traces of the hands, the stories, and the communities that have walked beside him. Each brushstroke feels like a fragment of lived experience — raw, reflective, and resoundingly human.

“Inception” marks the end of one chapter in Swinton’s creative odyssey and the luminous beginning of another. It is not a farewell, but a continuation; a rebirth rooted in gratitude, courage, and wonder. Within this space, we witness an artist unafraid to let go, to reimagine, to begin again.

Colombian artist Johanna Ospina brings over twenty-five years of experience to several creative practices that harmoniously weaves together art, music, and dance. Her works have been featured in international digital exhibitions across Dubai, Germany, Switzerland, and Spain, each reflecting an artistic language that connects cultures, and invites collective reflection.

In her most recent series, “The Woman in the Mirror,” Ospina explores the inner strength and mysticism that women carry within themselves. Through patience, precision, and steady, intentional process, she reveals a quiet power of discipline and devotion. A delicate balance of shading and highlights infuses her wood burning techniques with depth and dimension almost as if light and shadow emerge as silent narrators. Each work stands as a meditation on connection, extending an intimate invitation to value our inner capacities and to celebrate the bonds of family and friendship.

Beyond her studio practice, she has championed numerous artistic, musical, and medical initiatives, positioning herself as a benefactor and advocate for causes demanding both urgency and vision. Her body of work and activism together continues to form a testament to the belief that when beauty and commitment converge, art holds the power to transform lives and entire communities.

Interdisciplinary artist Jackie Lewis discovered her passion for art early as a child, spending her summers immersed in diverse creative classes that nurtured curiosity and imagination. This early inspiration led her to pursue studies in architecture and graphic design at Austin Peay State University, while also taking moments in developing her skills in welding, furniture design, and sculpture.

Jackie Lewis encompasses an appreciation for organic forms as her work draws from the world around her, translating natural rhythm and structure into visual language. Her most recent explorations intertwine the flow of sound and personal life experiences, transforming self impactful songs and memories into visual narratives. Each piece becomes a reflection of her journey from childhood to adulthood, illuminating moments of accomplishments, transformations, and emotional depths.

Lewis’s current bodies of work merges traditional woodburning techniques with abstract painting and layered mixed media, evoking a sense of nostalgia and introspection. Guided in philosophies of “repurpose for purpose,” she sources all her wood locally, reclaiming pieces once destined for desecration. Through this process, she breathes the discarded material with new life and meaning, allowing the natural grain, imperfections, and organic contours of the wood to inform both subject matter and composition.

Her works have been awarded and recognized in numerous juried shows and exhibitions, including the Clarksville Annual Riverfest Juried Art Show, the DAC Annual Juried Art Exhibition, and the Williamson County Archives & Museum, among others.

Jacksonville, Florida native Kristin Cronic began her artistic practice while serving as an officer in the United States Navy. In the confined environment of life at sea, painting became a vital act of freedom to explore space and reflection. Plants and trees emerged as recurring subjects, embodying resilience and guiding her toward self-discovery within an atmosphere defined by uniformity.

Kristin Cronic’s loose, expressive brushwork merges with areas of delicate precision, creating a rhythmic play between clarity, impressionism and abstraction. The presentation and compositions on raw unstretched canvas evokes both rootedness and ascent, drawing attention to an intimate connection between earth and sky, body and breath, stillness and movement. These works of nature are meditations on presence and a gentle reminder of nature’s enduring ability to ground, uplift, and transform. Her practice extends beyond painting techniques in which she investigates relationships, memory, and the human journey.

Cronic earned her MFA in Visual Art from Jacksonville University in 2022, where she now serves as an Adjunct Professor of Drawing. Her primary medium is oil, though her practice encompasses acrylics, pastels, and other mixed media. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is held in the permanent collections of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, the United States Pentagon, and the United States Naval Academy Museum, among others.
