Red River Museum The Red River Historical Society in Powell Co. KY exists to preserve and educate about the rich history and culture of our surrounding area and its peoples.

Come visit and experience the many items donated by our friends and neighbors. Hours:
Saturdays: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sundays: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Closed for federal holidays
Special tours can be arranged by appointment by calling 859-749-3171 or 606-521-3471.

The RRGCC is leading a hike at Cave Fork Recreational Preserve this Saturday June 6th. They will be talking about the Big Sinking oil history and about how this old oil property has turned into a beautiful wildlife and recreational preserve.
It's a short hike and free to anyone interested in the amazing history of the Red River Gorge.
