Clermont Historic Village Museum The Clermont Historic Village consists of 7 fascinating bldngs/museums that’ll teach you about Clermont’s earliest settlers & how they lived.

We offer tours & a scavenger hunt for children w/prizes from our treasure chest!🤗 Open: 1-5pm Sat/Sun & by appt. The Village is currently home to 7 buildings including, the original Train Depot, the Herring Hooks Schoolhouse, the Cooper Memorial Library, the Quonset Hut WWII Museum, the Kern House, the Townsend House and an Outhouse. Each building is furnished with restored and replica furniture typical of the original furnishings.

Thanks so much to Synthia and GCCF for this beautiful, thoughtful project the Clermont Historic Village Museum is so happy to welcome to its grounds. We hope many people will find hope and inspiration from it. Come on by to see it for yourself and of course, bring a painted rock to trade for one in Synthia’s garden. 🥰🫶🌻

Check out this segment all about James & Sallie Townsend that aired on News 6 WKMG / ClickOrlando late February in honor of Black history month!!! Two longtime members of the Clermont Historical Society—Donna DiGennaro & Devon “Pete” Cole—were interviewed and spoke beautifully about the family and all the work the Historical Society, city and community leaders did to preserve their home & history. Come check out our totally magical Christmas Village set up in the bay window of the old Train Depot at the Clermont Historic Village Museum, 490 West Avenue, downtown Clermont. After 5:30pm each night, it’s all lit up with moving features and it’s just so beautiful and fun!!! Our friend Tommy Candido, curator of the The Presidents Hall of Fame set it up and trust us, you don’t want to miss seeing it! 😍🤩

While there, if you can and post a pic in the comments, plus comment on there are within the display, we will be doing a random drawing before Christmas for a gift card to a local restaurant!! 🤗👌

ADDITIONALLY, There are many picture ops around the Village grounds with other lovely decorations hand-made & hand-painted by some of our volunteers. For museum tours, please visit on Saturdays/Sundays from 1-4pm. 😊
