This slightly cooler weather has perked up our garden. We’re headed into my favorite time of year when it starts to get just a little cool in the morning & at night. I think it’s my garden’s favorite time of year too & it gives a little push for that last hurrah. I know that the heat is on the way next week. Hopefully it won’t last long!

A few days ago, I put in a couple of hard hours in my vegetable garden. I needed to rest so I threw a large piece of cardboard down on the ground and did something that I have not done in years. I laid on my back and looked at the sky for 20 minutes. My back relaxed, my mind relaxed, and I vowed to myself to start doing this on a regular basis. Two years in to retirement and I’m learning a few things.

The entrance to Nancy and Dick’s front door. How do they do it?! Every year it gets better. I ask that but what I believe is that every year that you live in a home brings you closer to getting it right. I just changed my bedroom around after 14 years and I wonder what took me so long to see that the old way was not the best way. 🤷‍♀️

I bought this little porcelain bird in Leland, Michigan years ago & she looks very happy here. I remember it was a beautiful day and I had a lovely conversation with the young woman who had just opened the shop. Sometimes a purchase also becomes a memory ( but hardly ever in a big box store! ).

Kelly and I had so much fun trying on clothes and Jewelry at mdgallery.lv today. Be sure you check her hours before you go because they are somewhat limited, 3-6 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. There are extended hours when she has an event. We both found several things that we loved!
