Saturday, March 7th - LECTURE and EXHIBIT OPENING IN THE MUSEUM – at 2 pm.
LECTURE: The new Exhibit, “The Artistry and Spiritual Imagery of László Csomortáni Gál,” opens with a presentation by Mr. Loránd Csibi. Mr. Csibi will share insights into the artist’s works, his unique approach to art and symbolism, and his life, which is fiercely based in his Erdély (Transylvanian) roots.
Mr. Csibi will be joined in the Museum by the artist, László Csomortáni Gál, via zoom, from Erdély, Transylvania – a remarkable opportunity to meet the artist in his home environment, the source of his artistic inspiration.
NEW EXHIBIT: Come and see a collection of the works of László Csomortáni Gál - become immersed in his creative realm, one with ancient magic, symbolism and spirituality. Each work harkens back to old Hungarian beliefs, both Pagan and Christian, as described by the title of each artwork using archaic words from folk and sacred songs and incantations.
Open to the Public. Everyone is welcome.
The Museum and Gift Shop will be open on this Saturday from 1 - 4. You do not have to attend the lecture to look around the Museum and visit our Library.
The Museum is located in the lower level in the Galleria in downtown Cleveland at E. 9th and St. Clair. Parking is available in the Galleria's underground garage.

If you LOVE the old BUCKEYE ROAD Neighborhood, or LOVE the HISTORY of CLEVELAND – you’ll LOVE the program in the Museum on February 14th, Valentine’s Day!
Tom Kaschalk, author of "Cleveland's Neighborhood Taverns: A Pub Crawl Through History” LOVES Cleveland, and knows a lot of fascinating and little-known stories about the city's past!
He’ll take the audience back in time to the Buckeye Road and surrounding Hungarian neighborhoods, to its taverns and pubs.
The numbers of taverns and their importance in Cleveland's history is astounding! He’ll talk about the dozens of taverns and pubs and restaurants that lined Buckeye Road and the neighboring area, including the Gypsy Cellar, Settlers Tavern, Mike Boros Café and many more. And he’ll share the remarkable stories of the people who founded and frequented these all-important neighborhood gathering places.
If you have memories or stories you’ve heard from parents or family about the ‘good old days’ of Cleveland’s neighborhoods, the old Buckey Road or any of the city’s famed ethnic areas – you won’t want to miss this!
Stay after the program to talk to Mr. Kaschalk and enjoy refreshments and the company of other attendees.
Open to the public - all are welcome.
Suggested donation: $10 for adults, $5 for students.
The Museum will be open from 1-4 pm. We invite you to browse our Current Exhibit Celebrating our 40th Anniversary, and visit our gift shop and library.
$7 parking is available in the Galleria underground garage, a credit-card only facility.
