Clifton Art Alley
Clifton Art Alley is underway and needs your help! The alley due west of Main Street (aka N Ave D) in downtown Clifton will be transformed from a stereotypical alley to an art destination, and if you want to join us on the ground floor, now is the time. We will repurpose this neglected space into a beautiful expression of the love of Art, encouraging fresh ideas and imaginations
to manifest themselves into 2-dimensional and even 3-dimensional art. Artists
If you are a contemporary or modern artist who wants a venue for public display of your original art, you may apply now to the Clifton Art Alley board for approval. We have permission from almost all alley building owners to use the backs of their buildings to showcase your art. Choose your preferred location (we will attempt to accommodate you), and draw a thumbnail sketch of your visual artwork on the application. The restrictions are: no profanity, no obscenity, and no negative agenda or message. We hope to supply you with reasonable necessary supplies to complete your work (paint, ladders, scaffolding, etc.) at no cost, in return for your commission-free artwork. If you are a visionary and a supporter of the arts, but have no desire, talent, or inclination to actually paint or sculpt, please consider donating to the Clifton Art Alley Fund. We have a 5013(c) designation from the IRS under the umbrella of the Clifton Arts Association, so every donation will be tax deductible. Every cent will go directly toward the creation and maintenance of Clifton Art Alley, with no individuals receiving compensation. Please help us provide an alternative art venue for Clifton, a proud Cultural Arts District of Texas. Show your support by driving or walking down Clifton Art Alley often to watch our progress, “Liking” our page on Facebook, encouraging artists you know to participate, and talking about us to anyone you know. This is truly a grassroots idea, and you are key to its growth.
